This deserves a point all to itself. Unfortunately with hair care products there is no substitute for a professional range. I believe that with some makeup and skincare products it is absolutely possible to get great results from “drugstore” options. (For the record I should be a spokesperson for Cetaphil cleansers and moisturisers.)
Get your hairdresser to recommend at least one product that he/she thinks will make the most impact on your hair for a jumping off point…and then work up to a ‘home haircare routine’.Another very important point DO NOT USE supermarket products with large amounts of “silicone”. It can cause problems with colouring your hair as the silicone creates a barrier around the hairshaft – but for your big day, this same barrier can make it hard to curl your hair and/or the curls are limp lifeless and drop out quickly. Pass this tip onto your bridesmaids as well – there is no room for lifeless hair with the “lit- from-within “philosophy!!
